This is a remarkable little show. It's a slice-of-life series set in a 1980's world where all the little Japanese gods are real and running all around. It's quiet and sweet.

By the final episode, I was honestly sad to see it end. I genuinely liked the characters and wanted to spend more time with them.

It helps that the show is by the creative staff behind R.O.D. The writer is a genius. Whereas he turns the screws on his characters in R.O.D, in KamiChu! he just makes them genuinely likeable, so that even small moments carry emotional weight.

It's a good little show.
